4S Ranch Modern American Architecture

This home was created with a family member who uses a wheelchair, so accessibility, elegance and comfort were equally important in its design. Both indoor and outdoor spaces were created to be navigable with a wheelchair, from the stables to the garden, to the kitchen, hallways and bathrooms. One bathroom in particular was designed with accessibility in mind, complete with innovative features to make daily use easy and enjoyable. A striking combination of American west and modern simplicity, this home was designed to make the most of the beautiful landscape, including sweeping views of Aspen. Built with both sustainability and accessibility in mind, the structure reflects the values of the client, whose family foundation works to make ski areas accessible to all.
